About the Artist
California based artist, Erin Simons, has been honing her skills in botanical illustration for many years. As a full time Agriculture teacher, Erin blended her expertise as an educator, her knowledge of filipino culture, and her experience as a Tahitian dancer to create refreshing and fun artwork that brings tropical inspiration into her client’s busy work day.
Erin’s evolution in botanical illustration allowed her to introduce another component and extend her talent as an artist and an Agriculture teacher even further. Her use of storytelling allows Erin to challenge the boundaries of traditional botany— utilizing stories as a vector to highlight the prominence of plants in their endemic cultures.
“Pineapple Co: Art & Design,” was founded in 2018. Out goal is to share tropical inspiration to a busy working schedule. From our little island to yours.
